RECOUNTMENT
this show was, and i am not exaggerating, the best show i've probably ever seen. they played all of my favorite songs. it felt like an emotional tour for Trent, and it sure as hell was an emotional tour for me. NIИ has been there for me for years— there's a reason my first tattoo was a Pretty Hate Machine tattoo. so seeing songs like The Hand That Feeds and Hurt in concert nearly brought me to tears. these tickets were for my birthday so i got a really good seat, like i was literally 5 rows in front of where Trent and the crew walked between the two stages. i've never had a good seat at a stadium show, so i was not expecting the people around me to be so... disinterested?? like the two boys next to me barely moved or sang or seemed to be enjoying anything. the row behind me was more lively, but i swear its always the people who get the most expensive tickets that care the least about the band. but i had a good time. my neck is sore from headbanging and dancing and screaming and singing. and i talked to some cool people before/after the show. an old family friend, two millenial-aged women who said they loved how lively i was and took a photo of me, and a woman i talked to on the bus about the show and music.
