Welcome to my shrine dedicated to the early-2000s-melodic-Chicago-hardcore band, Rise Against. It's been closing in on a year now since I first delved into their discography and became their number one fan, and it's a year I cherish. Like everyone else I first heard Savior off of their fifth studio album Appeal to Reason circa 2008. Their lyrics had such a visceral imagery to them that wasn't really present in other rock/punk bands. On the surface they seemed to be an edgy lovesick heartbreak band, when in reality that was only their hits.
