Slipknot was my first "everything" band. they were the first band i fell in love with, the first band i ever saw live in concert, my first band-tee, and the band that set me on my trajectory towards nu metal and its many genre-cousins. i still remember listening to Pulse of the Maggots in my freshman year art class on my iPod Nano in the year of our lord 2016. even if i'm not at the height of my Slipknot obsession, they will always hold a special place in my heart. and even as i write this, i can't help but listen to them (AOV, for anyone curious).
