Local Bands
Sunbather Die, my absolute favorite local band of all time. the first time i ever saw them at was a small show at a drum school some 45-minutes from my house. i didn't know any of the bands, but it was a costume show so i showed up as a Sim. there was around 15 people, including other band members, and their set was so good i immediately became obsessed with them. i try and see them at least once every couple months, and i always make an effort to say hi and "great set" and whatnot. and since i go to so many of their shows their bassist, Dom, always recognizes me.
Beautiful Freaks, the catchiest seattle-centered songs you will ever hear. their sound varies greatly, from heavy songs like CYNIC to slow punk songs like Loser Sellouts. i actually recommended them a friend of mine, and now we're both Beautiful Freaks fans.
The Hobby, pnw heavy alt-rock. my all-time favorite The Hobby song is I Do Not Dream of Labor which used to get me through so many shifts at my old restaurant job. i'm also a big fan of Phantom Pain / Betrayal!!!. since their hometown is quite a ways from mine i don't get to see them often, but when i do its electric.
