The Sufferer and the Witness by Rise Against

this is, without a doubt, the best rock album of all time. it's such a good mix of heavyness and melody. the lyrics are extremely poignant especially today, not to mention Tim McIlrath's passionate singing and gritty fry screams. Brandon Barnes plays a fantastic mix of blast-beats and slow militarative marching beats, Chris Chasse plays some iconic and unforgettable riffs which pair phenomenally with Tim's rhythmic octaves. this is Rise Against at their best, and this is rock music at it's best // written 4 June 2026
