Shows I've Seen...

Playlists...

a mixed bag of every song i've ever enjoyed

a bedtime playlist full of slow jams

cis men writing *suspiciously* trans lyrics

hard-hitting screamers

religious trauma goes crazy

love songs that kind of hurt

unusually optimistic

slow jams perfect for a car radio

when you're on the road, see: 'a cool evening drive'

when its sad song and pretending to be in an edit time 😈

internet deep cuts, dreamworks osts, and gulty-pleasure eminem songs

a little misogyny as a treat

self-explanatory

falling in love while the world falls apart

sex without the baggage; aroallo anthems

i honestly liked this one a lot more than their more recent single Nod, i was trying to think of what album it reminded me of and then House on Fire came on and i realized it sounds like a Wolves song. which isn't necessarily a bad thing, i like some of the tracks from Wolves... but it feels like this song is teetering on the more "filler" side of RA songs. its very catchy, though, and the mixing is (again) a lot better than Nod.

→ the part in Chop Suey after the bridge where he goes "in your eyes forsaken, me ill... trust, in, my SELF RIGHTEOUS SUICIDE!!! i cry, when angels DESERVE TO DIE!!!"
→ the part in Purity (slipknot) when the chorus plays and it has that reverb
→ "what's a girl, to do?" in From The Start - Good Kid
→ in "give it all," during the bridge when he says "SO WET MY TONGUE, BREAK INTO SONG, THROUGH SEAS OF COMPETITON"
→ the verse in Dark of the Matinee where the band vocalizes behind the chorus
→ funeral derangements by ice nine kills when spencer sings "ill make this right!" AND when he says "nothing here is set in stone!"
→ in Red Flags where the female vocalist says "the costume design was a highlight"
→ "Welcome to Horrorwood" breakdown when he finishes with "so hows this for an establishing shot?"
→ in Homecoming by Green Day during the intro where he does the two muted strums
→ the bridge in letterbomb by gd where he yells "Well she said 'I can't take this place I'm leaving it behind' / Well she said 'I can't take this world I'm leaving you tonight!"
→ the ending of Dirt & Roses when the band all harmonize together while tim sings the last verse
→ the intro AND chorus of Calling All Skeletons
→ the vocalization in the verses of Try Honesty has such a specific tone thats so unique i love it
